Over e-mail, the problems can be described. Methods and test scenarios can be sent, to help eliminate areas of the tool, to focus on the trouble shooting area.
Parts support
Unknown part numbers or not such frequently used parts can be difficult to find. I can find the part number of the sub-assemblies due to my extensive knowledge of tool refurbishment and builds.
